Hydrotherapy combines traditional physiotherapy skills with the properties of warm water to relieve pain, gain relaxation, improve joint range, muscles strength and overall stability.
It is conducted in an indoor pool heated to between 31-33C degrees. It involves hands-on techniques such as joint mobilisations, soft tissue manipulation and stretching of neural and muscular tissue, as well as using the buoyancy of water to either assist or resist movement.
This helps to improve your ability to cope with everyday activities, manage your individual problems and improve your posture and fitness level. Our qualified and experienced physiotherapists supervise the 45 minute session and assist you in progressing your specific exercises as your fitness and movement improves.
